Proposed Fee Increase for Red Rock Canyon
Ruling set for Wednesday, September 27th
The price to enter Red Rock Canyon National Conversation Area could double for 2018, under a new proposal by the Bureau of Land Management.
The fee for one vehicle would climb from $7 to $15 for 2018. It would increase to $20 in 2023. The cost for an annual pass will go from $30 to $45 in 2018.
The Resource Advisory Council will make their decision on the proposed fee increase on Wednesday, September 27th at the Rainbow Library. The meeting runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend and give their opinion.
Red Rock Canyon has seen a record amount of visitors last year. The park had temporary closures because of the massive crowds.
