The Narrows
Location: The Narrows, Zion National Park. It's close to Springdale, Utah. Trail starts at Riverside Walk.
Miles: It's roughly ten miles. You can go farther if you have a permit, or want to spend the night at a camp site. We did 8 miles, because we didn't know when it ended. This hike will take up most of your day.
Tips: This is one of my favorite hikes. You will hike in water 90% of the time. I recommend going in late spring or summer, when it's not too cold. You can rent a wetsuit. I would say it's moderate to strenuous. Hiking shoes, a walking stick, and waterproof pouch for your phone or camera are highly recommended. The rocks are slippery as you walk in the water. Bring a CamelBak and extra water. I also tied an extra pair of shoes to my backpack for when the hike was over, so I didn't have to walk with wet shoes. You can also bring a plastic bag to put the wet shoes in. Be careful hiking in the water because some parts are deep. During the summer, the water was almost to our chest at some parts.
Sightings: Temple of Sinawava (a stream of water down the rock), beautiful formations and scenery
